We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding at Domaine de Lavy, just around the corner from Joe’s family home where they have spent over 20 years. The area holds so many special memories for them, and it felt like the perfect place for us to start creating some of our own.
For those deciding where to stay, we recommend the nearby village of Brantôme, a beautiful town, 15 minute drive from the venue with a great selection of hotels, cafés, and restaurants.
There are also plenty of Villas & Gites in the surrounding countryside.
We’ll be arranging transport to and from the venue on the wedding day for guests staying nearby, don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like any help choosing where to stay!
Domaine de Lavy is set in the Périgord Vert, in the Dordogne region of southwest France. As the area is rural, taxi availability can be limited, so we recommend arranging transport in advance – hiring a car to get around the area is best.
On the day of the wedding we have arranged transportation to and from the venue to surrounding areas.

Wedding Day – Black Tie
For the wedding ceremony and evening celebrations, the dress code is Black Tie.
Please note the venue is a country estate, with grass, gravel, stones and gentle hills, so we recommend choosing shoes suitable.
Sunday at the Château
Join us for a relaxed day at the château with a French Riviera–inspired dress code – linens, light fabrics and smart-casual summer style.
Feel free to bring swimwear for the pool, and sports attire if you’d like to play tennis or join in lawn games around the estate.
Weather
September in the Dordogne is typically 23–25°C during the day, cooling to 12–16°C in the evening.
